Tour Overview:

Our 2-day Lake Manyara & Ngorongoro Crater safari packages were designed to offer visitors, with a time constraint, a short but a very intense Tanzanian Northern Circuit wildlife safari experience. You will experience the excitement of an African wildlife safari, or even a photographic safari in two of the most spectacular national game parks in Tanzania. This unforgettable African safari tour will take you to the Ngorongoro Crater, featuring one of the highest concentrations of game in Africa. Here you will witness an amazing spectacle of African wildlife – inside a self-contained world, teeming with animals. Your tour will also take you to the Lake Manyara National Park, one of Tanzania’s most dramatically located wildlife areas, consisting of a shallow but huge soda lake, at the foot of the Great Rift Valley’s western escarpment. The size of both the selected Lake Manyara and Ngorongoro Crater national parks, make them a perfect choice for our shorter safaris, or a photographic safari.

DAY 1

Early in the morning you will drive from Arusha or Moshi towards Tarangire/Lake manyara national park(it will depend with a season) and doing game drive  not less than 4 hours game drive in the park with picnic   lunch in the park. Dinner and overnight at Lodge or Tented Camp.

  • Moshi to Lake Manyara national park  time3hrs  203km

DAY 2

After an early breakfast, you will pick up from your hotel driving to Ngorongoro gate and descending to the crater one of the world wonder  and doing game drive not less than 6 hours having a lunch crater and doing en route game to the exit gate back to Moshi/ Arusha.

  • Ngorongoro to Arusha time 2 hrs 35min  154.1 km
  • Ngorongoro to Moshi  time 5hrs 18 min 263.0 km

Safari Include:

  • Full board accommodation whilst on safari in the above mentioned en suite tented camps and lodges
  • Private safari guide

  • Extended Toyota Land Cruiser
  • Private 4 x 4 safari jeep with pop up roof for game viewing
  • Transfers in both directions between the International Airport and Moshi.
  • All entrance Park fees

  • One night Hotel accommodation in Moshi/Arusha.

  • Tips and any items of personal nature

Tipping is highly appreciated at the end of safari:

Tips will vary depending on the length and complexity of the trip, the number of staff on the trip and the number of clients on the trip. Generally, groups like to meet before the end of the trek to discuss how much they would like to tip each staff member based on their individual trek experience.
The following are daily rates for each climber recommended to tip per staff member:

  • Driver guide: $20/day
  • Cook: $15/day (this is for the ones opting for a budgeted camping safari.

Please note: If you opt lodge safari, you will be with your driver guide only, therefore you can arrange tip for driver only. If you opt camping safari, then you will be with safari driver guide and cook, therefore you can arrange tip for both two.

Remember, all Rock Explorers are customized to meet your needs and budget. You may mix your accommodations between lodges and tented camp sites. You may want to schedule a leisurely itinerary, pace yourself or leave time for other types of outings like visiting the Olduvai Gorge, where the Leakey’s did their research and made their discoveries on the history of man.
